“Gregory! Is that really you?” Bethany asked as she rushed over. “It’s been so long, I can’t believe you’re back.” She almost squealed as she wrapped her arms around him.
"Yes, I just got back from London. My parents decided to move back here, said it was a mistake to leave in the first place, but I'm glad I'm back."
"I've missed you so much." Bethany whispered into his chest while holding him tightly, not wanting to let him go. She wouldn't let him leave her again.
"So how have things been whilst I've been away?" questioned Gregory. Bethany stood staring at him for a while, still taking in the fact that he was actually there before she replied.
"Horrible", and that was the truth.
"Well at least I am back now, you no longer have to be sad. I've never seen you this upset before and I really want to see you smile again."
"
"How about we go some place some time and just catch up? I know this really cool library just around the corner and you won't have to worry about dressing up, you will fit in perfectly." Gregory smiled.
"You know, that sounds like a great idea. Let's make it a date!"
A few days later ...
"Hey Bethany. Thanks for meeting me here."
"Well of course I'd show up, you know me." Bethany smiled and walked on in.
At the Library Gregory had already picked out a few books to read, while Bethany was still looking for something that caught her eye. She scanned many of the book cases until she found something that sparked her interest.
"So, what are you reading?" Asked Bethany as she took the closest seat to Gregory. He looked up quickly and for a breif second, their eyes locked.
"Just a book on World War 1, what about yourself?" he asked her politely.
Bethany thought for a second before responding, should she mention the book she had chosen was romance? What if that made things awkward?
"Oh, me? Well I'm just reading about the latest fashion trends." She lied before looking down at her book and pretending to read.
After a while of reading the both of them decided it was time to catch up a little and discuss what their lives had been like without each other.
"In London," Gregory said "There wasn't really all that much to do. The weather was cold and the people were old and sluggish. I just didn't like it." Bethany giggled at this before agreeing with him.
"But now you're back, and that's all that matters."
After their trip to the library, it was time for them to part ways again for the day, it was getting late and Bethany was expected back home by her parents.
"It was really nice seeing you again." Bethany said softly before looking into his eyes.
"It was." Gregory agreed before giving her one last hug and promising to see her again soon. "I already miss you."
The next time they hanged out was when they went to South Lagoon beach to take a refreshing dip in the cool water, it wasn't icy exactly but you couldn't call it warm.
"Brr!" Groaned Bethany as she tip-toed into the deep.
When they did get in however, they seemed to grow quickly accustomed to the temperature of the water, and found themselves swimming and splashing around like young children, like how they used to do when they had first became friends. The thought made them both smile.
After their long swim at the beach they decided it was best to go and get some icy-cool refreshments at the local juice bar, only a few meters away from the shore. It was quite handy and self serve, even better.
When they arrived they couldn't help but find themselves staring at each other, they had never quite noticed how they had looked barely clothed, until now. Bethany and Gregory blushed.
"Some nice drinks will do us good." Bethany said while mixing the ice with the water and the water with the mixture.
"Mmh, this tastes really nice." Bethany giggled as she took a sip from her glass. "Have you tried it yet?" she asked Gregory who was making up his own mixture.
"Yes, I did try the one you made, but I'm making a special recipe that you should really try out." He explained before passing over a freshly new made juice to Bethany. As he passed it over their hands accidentally touched and Bethany could feel herself getting warmer. She shook the sensation away and took a gulp.
"It's great."
Chess was the next thing on their to do list and the match lasted for approximately 30 minutes, when Gregory had checked-mate her. She felt herself grow envious at his skills.
"Geez, you've really gotten better." Bethany joked around and poked him in the arm.
"No, you've just gotten worse." Gregory teased back before leaning in to do something he never thought he would do, he was almost about to kiss her when a random lady walked up.
"Can one of you's help me? I'm a little lost." Bethany stared at the woman who had just ruined the bitter-sweet moment between the two of them and got up from the table.
"Yeah, I'll help you, I was just leaving anyway." She replied to Gregory before giving him a longing look which he returned.
A few days later ...
A few days later Bethany and Gregory finally had bumped into each other, at the local library. They hadn't seen each other in a while and still had unsettled feelings resting on their minds.
"Hey, can we talk?" Gregory asked.
"So I've been thinking, about earlier. A lot." Gregory said softly before thinking of what else he could say. "Well, not just about that, but everything I feel now for you seems ... completely different." He tried to explain. Bethany just sat there in shock before responding.
"I ... feel the complete same Greg." she whispered.
After her response, Gregory couldn't take it any longer, he had to be closer to her. Gregory wrapped his arms around her warm body. "You know, I think I'm in love with you Bethany..."
And that's when he finally kissed her.
His kisses were sweet and soft and slow, just the way Bethany always imagined her first kiss to be, it was perfect and passionate and she had never felt so breath-taken her whole life.
Many kisses followed the one they had that day, there didn't even have to be a special moment, it would just happen without thinking, as if it were natural and to them, being with each other was.
But that wasn't enough for Bethany. Although she finally had the guy of her dreams, there was always something missing. A part of her that was unexplained, and finally she knew what she had to do.
She was going to give herself the makeover she had needed for a very long time.
"Do you like how I look?" She asked Gregory, of course he agreed but he also mentioned how she looked beautiful before aswell, Bethany ignored that.
Months after being together, things were getting even more serious between them. They would hang out more often, even if all they were going to do was kiss, for them it was worth it.
Until one day they wanted more then that.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Gregory asked her quitely. Bethany nodded yes,
"I wouldn't want to do this with anyone else."
Gregory then began to remove her clothes carefully, whilst Bethany did the same for him, and before they knew it they were both naked making sweet love to each other.
"Woah, you truely are amazing Gregory." Bethany said as she rolled onto her back and stared up at the ceiling. "and before when you told me that you love me well....
This whole time I have loved you"
